Baaaadddd to the Bone Bayou Blues

(It will help you reading this to sing it to the tune of Bad to the Bone)

Thirteen at the Spillway made the Bayou Blues crew. Da-da-da-dum
Vicki brought our new shirts in cool water blue. Da-da-da-dum
The clouds blocked from view the sun's gleam. Da-da-da-dum
But we welcomed newcomers and headed down stream. Da-da-da-dum
The overachievers and the heavier loads soon did split apart. Da-da-da-dum
But we all enjoyed all the natural tree root modern art. Da-da-da-dum
We found a hidden beach under some olive trees. Da-da-da-dum
So we splashed around for a muddy water spree. Da-da-da-dum
Amidst the sprinkles of rain we paddle back under. Da-da-da-dum
The bayou was quiet and calm lest the rumblin of thunder. Da-da-da-dum
We loaded the kayaks, for it was time for the blues break. Da-da-da-dum
Our brown bags on the hill over looking the sunset on the lake. Da-da-da-dum
Peggy started the show with two guitar sonnets written from the heart. Da-da-da-dum
And Stephanie read a poem about a bluesy time she made a fresh start. Da-da-da-dum
Maggie and Carolina both sang acapella songs as we sat on the grass, Da-da-da-dum
And Vicki read a funny song about kicking someone's beeepppp! Da-da-da-dum
Conner & Lynn the judge announced 1st, 2nd, 3rd of talent contest. Da-da-da-dum
And we all sat and watched the clouds glow as the sun began to set. Da-da-da-dum
Another great day for the D'Arbonne Kayak Club and our motley crew; Da-da-da-dum
As we celebrate the water, nature, and making a new friend or two! DA END!!
