The clouds blocked from view the sun's gleam. Da-da-da-dumBut we welcomed newcomers and headed down stream. Da-da-da-dum
The overachievers and the heavier loads soon did split apart. Da-da-da-dum
But we all enjoyed all the natural tree root modern art. Da-da-da-dum
We found a hidden beach under some olive trees. Da-da-da-dum
So we splashed around for a muddy water spree. Da-da-da-dum
Amidst the sprinkles of rain we paddle back under. Da-da-da-dum
The bayou was quiet and calm lest the rumblin of thunder. Da-da-da-dum
We loaded the kayaks, for it was time for the blues break. Da-da-da-dum
Our brown bags on the hill over looking the sunset on the lake. Da-da-da-dum
Peggy started the show with two guitar sonnets written from the heart. Da-da-da-dum
And Stephanie read a poem about a bluesy time she made a fresh start. Da-da-da-dum
Maggie and Carolina both sang acapella songs as we sat on the grass, Da-da-da-dum
And Vicki read a funny song about kicking someone's beeepppp! Da-da-da-dum
Conner & Lynn the judge announced 1st, 2nd, 3rd of talent contest. Da-da-da-dum
And we all sat and watched the clouds glow as the sun began to set. Da-da-da-dum
Another great day for the D'Arbonne Kayak Club and our motley crew; Da-da-da-dum
